Step 1
Rinse glutinous rice thoroughly until water runs clear. Soak the rice in cold water for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
Step 2
Drain the soaked rice. Steam the rice for 20-25 minutes until soft and translucent. If you don't have a steamer, you can use a fine-mesh colander set over a pot of simmering water, covered.
Step 3
While the rice steams, prepare the coconut cream sauce: In a saucepan, gently heat coconut milk, sugar, and salt over medium-low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Do not boil. Remove from heat.
Step 4
Transfer the hot steamed rice to a bowl. Pour about two-thirds of the warm coconut cream sauce over the rice. Gently fold the sauce into the rice until fully absorbed. Cover and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Step 5
Peel and slice the ripe mangoes. Serve warm sticky rice alongside fresh mango slices, drizzled with the remaining coconut cream sauce, and garnished with toasted sesame seeds.
