Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Finely chop the walnuts and almonds.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the nuts with sugar and cinnamon.

Brush a baking dish with melted butter and layer 5 sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter.

Spread a layer of the nut mixture, followed by 3 phyllo sheets, repeating until all nuts are used.

Finish with a top layer of 8-10 phyllo sheets, cutting into diamond shapes before baking for 50 minutes.
Step 6
In a saucepan, combine honey, water, and lemon juice; bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Pour warm syrup over baklava when it comes out of the oven; cool before serving.
