Step 1
In a small bowl, combine paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the pork shoulder.
Step 2
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour apple cider vinegar and chicken broth around the pork.
Step 3
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork is very tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Step 4
Carefully remove the pork from the slow cooker and transfer to a large bowl. Reserve about 1 cup of the cooking liquid. Shred the pork using two forks, discarding any excess fat.
Step 5
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker (or a large pot). Stir in the BBQ sauce and 0.5 cup of the reserved cooking liquid (add more if needed for desired consistency).
Step 6
Stir to coat and heat through for another 15-20 minutes on low, allowing flavors to meld.
Step 7
Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns, optionally topped with coleslaw.
