Step 1
Slice halloumi cheese into 4 thick patties. Pat dry with paper towels. Slice tomato and red onion, wash lettuce.
Step 2
Cook french fries according to package directions. Once cooked, toss immediately with Za'atar seasoning and a pinch of salt. Keep warm.
Step 3
Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add halloumi patties and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and slightly crispy.
Step 4
Lightly toast burger buns, if desired.
Step 5
Assemble burgers: spread hummus on both halves of a bun. Place a cooked halloumi patty on the bottom bun, then top with lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion.
Step 6
Serve the Mediterranean hummus and halloumi burgers immediately with the Za'atar fries.
