Step 1
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Stir well.
Step 2
Let the hibiscus flowers steep for 15-20 minutes, until the water turns a deep red color.
Step 3
Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the flowers. Press on the flowers to extract as much liquid as possible.
Step 4
Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water and granulated sugar to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 5
Taste and adjust sweetness if desired. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Step 6
Serve over ice with fresh lime slices for garnish.
