Step 1
Create sabayon by whisking egg yolks and sugar over double boiler until pale and thick
Step 2
Remove from heat and cool to room temperature
Step 3
Gently fold mascarpone into cooled sabayon until smooth
Step 4
Combine espresso and coffee liqueur in shallow bowl
Step 5
Quickly dip each ladyfinger in espresso mixture and arrange in single layer in 9x13 dish

Spread half of mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers
Step 7
Repeat with second layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone
Step 8
Dust top generously with cocoa powder and shaved chocolate
Step 9
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving
