Step 1
Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, salt, and white pepper.
Step 2
Slice green onions, separating the whites from the greens.
Step 3
Roughly chop the garlic cloves.
Step 4
Heat a skillet over high heat and add the chicken thighs. Cook until fully cooked with nice charred bits, then remove from pan.

Lower the heat and add the chopped garlic and white parts of green onions to the pan. Cook until fragrant.
Step 6
Add soy sauce, mirin, butter, and honey to the pan. Let the sauce reduce.
Step 7
Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.

Finish with the green parts of the green onions and serve.
